Four Ambitious Grassroots CampaignsSoapbox builds quality grassroots campaigns that are visible, thoughtful, and that help establish long-term productive relationships wherever you need them. Real People. Real Grassroots. It is part of everything we do. 100 Site Visits Campaign
Easter Seals was frustrated that funding for programs for people with developmental disabilities always seemed to be first on the chopping block when it came to Medicare and Medicaid cuts. Soapbox helped coordinate an ambitious site-visit campaign that showcased 100 different programs in 100 different locations to 100 different Members of Congress. Full Congressional Advocacy Days (540 meetings)
Girl Scouts of the USA depended on Soapbox to arrange appointments with every single Congressional office to help educate Congress about cutting edge Girl Scouts Programs such as Project Anti-Violence Education (PAVE) and the Youth Rural Outreach Partnership . Coordinating the geography of over 300 councils in 50 states and US territories, Soapbox was able to provide individual schedules that covered the service area of each council. Every single office on Capitol Hill heard their message that day. 10,000 Voices for Darfur
Soapbox helped LifeNets.net generate 10,000 thoughtful letters supporting greater US attention to genocide in Darfur. They wanted this issue to rise above the usual grassroots chatter on Capitol Hill, so we only accepted letters that substantively answered three questions about why Darfur should be a US priority. The results were intelligent, moving, and demonstrated a greater awareness and commitment to this issue. Soapbox then coordinated a series of face-to-face meetings on Capitol Hill to deliver the letters. One Senate staffer remarked that it was the best grassroots effort he had seen on the issue. Coordinated Letters to the EditorSoapbox is working with the Arthritis Foundation to establish a Key Contact Network of sophisticated advocates. One recent campaign providing training and coordination of Letters to the Editor that informed communities across the nation about new arthritis-related legislation in Congress. Over a dozen publications carried the letters. |
